During bride and groom sunset photos, I often like to ask my couples how they first met. It helps break the ice, and makes for good candid laughs and smiles from my couples as they reminisce about their first meeting. I have heard some pretty wild stories over the years. Everything from couples meeting as children and finding each other years later, to instant love at first sight. The stories are endless!
Cortney and Cory’s story all begins in a Walmart in Louisiana. Cortney ran into a Walmart she had never been before. She was quickly getting something for a friend who lived in the area. By chance, Cory happened to be checking out in that very same Walmart. Cortney caught his eye, and Cory recalls feeling something special about Cortney when he first saw her. Though Cory had never gone up to a random stranger before, he couldn’t let her pass him by without saying something. So, Cory rushed to pay for his items and catch Cortney before it was too late.
As Cortney was just about to drive off, she was met by a handsome man at her car window. Apprehensively, Cortney rolled her window down a little and looked at Cory bewildered. He nervously found the courage to say, “I know this is very strange and all, but I saw you in Walmart and had to meet you. Would you possibly want to go on a date with me?” At first Cortney was scared, but something inside her knew it was fate and so she bravely agreed to a first date. Their first date was an instant success, and they both felt like they had known each other for years.
Some may call it chance, or even a random event. I’d like to believe it was fate all along. The bond they have for each other isn’t something you see everyday. Cortney and Cory fit so perfectly together, as if they were made for one another.
